ok so i'm in a really big rush this AM because i have to get out the door to the doctors. and the truth is i could spend hours blogging lol. this am i made sort of french toast. it was more like french on toast. i used 5 egg whites, 1 whole egg, 1/2c wheat bran, 2 Moo Magic milk mixes, vanilla extract, cinnamon, 1c sliced strawberries, 1 peach, all on top of 1 slice arnolds WW toast with butter. YUMMMMMMY!

i also made my mom an omilate for b-fast. she really enjoyed it. it had 3 cheese in it. : )

i did something really therapeutic this am. i went for a sort of run. more like a trot. barely running quite slowly. it was 99% for my brain 1% for my heart. it felt amazing, empowering, i overcame a big obstacle for myself this summer. running for me this summer has been a road block. a mental brick wall holding me back. i conquered the pavement. i need to keep doing this. it is good for my head and i happen to be signed up for a 1/2 marathon in CT in oct. so i'd better get ready!!!!
i really want to go into the feelings of this run more. you just can't imagine how good about myself i feel having conquered that road block in my mind. it had gotten really bad. i would almost get anygry when i heard about other people, such as my mom and brother going for runs, but i jsut coudn't bring myself to go for one.

I hope your doctors app. went well.I actually really like Larabars! And a lot of ppl will say they fill them up but they don't really fill me up and they still have a lot of calories and fat so that's good. Right now I play highschool softball and we are just doing 1 hour conditioning (and it's not hard core at all) and then next week we will start 1 1/2 hr practices. I won't have to much time in between school and practice but I'm thinking I'll be able to eat something like a larabar quick. Then after I'll probably eat supper but if I don't within an hour after, I should make sure I have a little something, correct? I'll probably actually be hungry anyways. Thanks for all your help so far!

And laura.. Have you ever tried drinking some calories? Like juice or chocolate milk or even an ensure? That might be an easy way to get more in w/o being to full.

I've heard that it is a good idea to drink your calories but for some reason I think drinking things fills me up more or I just feel like a lot of liquid is sloshing around in my stomach, except for smoothies! But I don't usually have time to make them regularly :( Thanks for the tip though and I do like to drink the Naked Juice occasionally because it is very tasty. And I might give choc. milk a try though maybe before bed I could drink more stuff because then I wouldn't get that feeling in my stomach.Also I heard ensure was gross, have you tried it?

Yes, i've tried ensure. I had a feeding tube for a long time, and thats what i got put down in..i don't think it's that filling, but it gives a lot of nutrition...it's only 8oz, i don't think it tastes too bad.
that is so weird that smoothies don't make you full but juice does? whats up with that? smoothies made from fruit would have more fiber than juice so they should make you MORE full.
Do you have an ED?
how come are you trying to gain weight?

No, I meant that drinking things makes my stomach like slosh around and stuff but that's just more liquid juices and smoothies make me full and don't give me the sloshing feeling! I've never been diagnosed with an ed it's just almost 2 yrs ago I started to think I had to exercise a lot and I really restricted myself and didn't eat enough for a growing athletic girl. I never starved myself or let myself get extremely hungry though. And now I've been trying to gain weight b/c I've gained a better relationship with food and I don't like the way my body looks. I really just want to be at a healthy weight and look healthy and happy!

sorry if i'm being to personal..i just want to help. Okay?
The sloshing feeling will be better if you drink small ammounts at a time, like 8 or even 4 oz of juice, instead of chugging a whole lot. BUT, you need fluid, especially if you are excercising so much! The "fullness" of fluids will go away very quickly, because you belly does not need to digest break it down much. thats why liquids are the best way to add healthy calories.
If you perfer to eat your calories, try "high density" food. ex: nuts, dried fruit, full-fat milk products, bars(luna bars, pure protien)
And good for you for helping yourself!!

Thank you so much! So is the Naked Juice a good juice to drink? There is about 150-170 cals per 8 oz. but no fat or anything so maybe it isn't the best choice. And I probably shouldn't worry about saturated fat with dairy products?

hay ladies!!!! i'm back from my camping extravaganza. (my parents have a cabin in the western part of the state that my dad and i went to thursday and friday).
i'm do happy to see people talking on my blog! you guys have some good ideas. let me know if you need my help with anything.

oh and i almost forgot, the doctors went OK i guess she didn't really say much. but i did get a note excusing me from my summer job, until the school year starts. i really think it is just a toxic environment for me. too bad it too me so long to realize it.
